Kids & Bulbs

Planting bulbs with your children is a perfect, easy weekend activity.  Teach patience & nurturing while encouraging hope & success while waiting for the little surprise packages to bloom in early Winter & Spring.
Bulbs are easy for little hands to hold and cover with soil.  Planting in a container is super easy. (No digging)
Use a container with a drainage hole and approximately 8" deep & wide.
Fill with 1/2 way planting mix or potting soil.
Place the bulbs on the soil (pointy end up), cover with more soil, place outside and wait.  You can water lightly or wait for Winter rains.
Granny Organics favorite in pots is Tete A Tete dwarf daffodil.
For added beauty plant violas or pansies above the bulbs and yes, the bulbs will pot through when ready.
Come on in to Commonwealth Garden Shoppe to see the selection we have chosen to make your decision easy and successful.

Have fun!
